Marjorie E. "Marge" Guffey, 95, passed away Monday afternoon, January 1, 2018 at her granddaughter's residence in Altamont.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Altamont Baptist Church, Altamont, with entombment in Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.

Marge was born April 6, 1922 in Ramsey, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Miller) Welch. She married Laurel L. Guffey on June 22, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Marge, along with her husband, were the owners of Guffey's Quality Cleaners and Tuxedo Rentals in Effingham and was a member of the Altamont Baptist Church.

Marge is survived by her son, Duane L. (Marcia) Guffey of Altamont; daughter, Patti L. (Paul) Chwasczinski of Ashley; son-in-law, Jerry Siebert of Springfield; five grandchildren, Holly Siebert, Justin (Kara) Guffey, James (Kari) Westjohn, Stacy Westjohn and Christopher (Kelly) Guffey; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cheryl Siebert; brother, Charles and two great-grandchildren.
