Marilyn D. Pruemer, 90, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at her home in Effingham, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with a 6:30 pm rosary. Memorial donations may be given to a good samaritan fund to help area animals in need, in honor of Marilyn's beloved dog, Brandi.

Marilyn was born March 21, 1933, the daughter of Clyde Orval and Jewell Lorene (Rose) Baker. She married Jerome W. Pruemer on July 17, 1954 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2012. Marilyn provided in-home daycare for many years.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Julie (Mark) Pike; grandchildren, Darren Pruemer, Amanda Pruemer, Kelley Gaddis, Jill (Haven) Boone, and Erik Pike; great-grandchildren, Lorelai, Shayna, Dominic, Thadeous, Dean, Rosemary, Corbyn, Oliver, Liam, and Zoey.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome; son, Dennis; granddaughter, Jennifer, and her siblings, Rosalie Bersig, Gary Baker, and Betty Rhodes.
