Marilyn E. Alcoke, 81 of Galesburg, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to the time of the service, Thursday morning at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born July 10, 1941 in East St. Louis, the daughter of Homer and Florence (Walker) Brown. She married Larry Alcoke in 1974.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Larry of Galesburg; brother, Dennis E. (Lois) Brown of Marietta, GA; sister-in-law, Kathleen Brown of Effingham; two nephews and two nieces.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Lee Brown and sister-in-law, Darlene Mette.
