Marie K. Ludwig, 99, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at her home in Opelika, Alabama.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Marie was born May 9, 1922 in Teutopolis, the daughter of John and Mary (Wegman) Nosbisch. She married Michael W. Ludwig on September 1, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2017.

Marie is survived by her son, Gerald "Gerry" (Sandra) Ludwig of Opelika, Alabama; daughters, LuJean (Doug) Hileman and LeAnn (Mark) Lee, both of Midway, Utah; granddaughter, Micaela (Austin) Hamilton of Trussville, Alabama.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
