Marie C. Dust, 91 of Effingham, passed away at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 6:00 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Marie was born January 25, 1924 in Lillyville, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Zumbahlen) Holkenbrink. She married Bernard J. Dust on June 2, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1989. Marie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham.

Marie is survived by her four sons, Michael (Kathy) of Barstow, CA, Clete (Violet) of Montrose, Richard (Janice) of Sigel and Stanley of Effingham; two daughters, Rita (Larry) Schoenhoff of Effingham and Sue (Todd) Rankin of Riverton; son-in law, Glen Hetzel; sisters-in-law, Wilma Holkenbrink of Lillyville and Betty Ann Dust of Effingham; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Ann Hetzel; brother, Leo and three sisters, Thelma Pruemer, Helen Dust and Emma Mihlbachler.
