Marie P. Dasenbrock, 86, of Effingham, died at 2:50 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a C.C.W. rosary at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Marie was born December 4, 1924 in Effingham, the daughter of Clem and Clara (Fuesting) Goldstein. She married Harold B. Dasenbrock on June 25, 1947. She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and the St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women.

Surviving are her husband, Harold; son, Kenneth (Mary) of Effingham; three daughters, Rosemary (Jim) Baker, Diane (Jim) Livingston and Jane (Timothy) Bishop all of Effingham; two brothers, Paul (Shirley) and Donald (Ann), both of Effingham; two sisters, Mildred Braun and Kathleen (Pat) Green, both of Effingham; 10 grandchildren, Beth Bernahl, Brent Baker, Lisa Herzinger, Scott, Kevin and Brian Dasenbrock, Tyler, Katie and Nicholas Bishop, Bradley Livingston; 8 great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Louis.
