Marie C. Niemerg's Obituary
Marie C. Niemerg, 78 of Effingham, passed away at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with visitation being held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday morning at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Marie was born on September 13, 1935 in Dieterich, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Voss) Niemerg. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Marie is survived by her sister, Hilda Davis of Effingham; nephew, Steve (Dena) Hartke of Champaign; niece, Pat (Jeff) Kritzman of Buffalo Grove; many great nephews and nieces also survive.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wilfred "Barney" Niemerg; sister, Dolores Hartke and nephew, Bruce Hartke.
