Obituary

Margaret C. Wall, 83 of Teutopolis, passed away peacefully at 10:52 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the church with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Cancer Center, St. Anthony's Memorial Hospice or The Cross Foundation. Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis is in charge of arrangements. www.bauerfh.com

She was born April 6, 1930, to Albert and Clara (Rechtiene) Adams. She was a 1948 graduate of Teutopolis High School. Margaret (Margie) followed in her four older sisters' footsteps, and continued to further her education at St. Ann's School of Nursing in Chicago, earning her Registered Nursing degree in 1951. Throughout her nursing career and lifetime she utilized her nursing skills in many ways. She retired in September 1991 after 25 years of working as a caseworker for the Illinois Dept. of Public Aid. After her retirement, she continued to serve her community by volunteering in various ways but, her job being a mother was the one she enjoyed the most. She liked gardening, shopping with her daughters, any time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and keeping in touch with her many friends.

On January 28, 1952, she married Francis J. Wall from Chicago. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1985. They were blessed with 5 daughters and 2 sons.

She is survived by her children; Kathleen (John) Dasenbrock, Terri (Ronnie – deceased) Heuerman, Ellen (Steve) Thoele, Mary Ann, Charlie (Judy) Wall and Carolyn (Norm) Evans. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and sister – Kelly Dolores (Jim) Taylor of Scottsdale, Arizona and brother Joe (Kay) Adams of Effingham.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Albert and Clara Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Naomi (Mary) Wall; husband, Frank; son, Frank and son-in-law, Ronnie Heuerman. Also preceding her in death were her sisters; Marie Albright, Fran Schultz, Adele Rhodes and brothers, George, Charlie and Lonnie Adams.
