Mardell E. Weis' Obituary
Mardell E. Weis, 84, of Teutopolis died at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, and for one hour before the service Thursday at St. Clare Hall in the church. A parish wake service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School, Effingham.
She was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Teutopolis, the daughter of George and Catherine (Wenthe) Weis.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, and Effingham NARFE.
Surviving are her son, George (Vicki) of Effingham; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Rachel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Brandon Weis; two brothers, Clarence and Hubert; and five sisters, Mercedes Koeberlein, Hilda Serovy, Georgeann Henderson, Alberta Weis and Katherine Roedl.
