Marcia I. Stofer's Obituary
Marcia I. Stofer, 78 of Effingham, passed away Tuesday evening, February 6, 2018 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
Marcia was born September 20, 1939 in Decatur, the daughter of Ben and Erma (Pults) Garner. She married Robert H. "Bob" Stofer on June 7, 1960 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Marcia worked as a secretary for Farm Service Agency of Effingham for 18 years.
Marcia is survived by her son, Brian (Kara) of DeBary, FL; daughters, Myra (Jedd) Swisher of Urbana, Robin (John Kortte) Stofer of Dieterich and Sarah (Tom) Will of Charleston; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Harold and Don Garner and sister Barb Goodman.
