Marc D.
Deblois
December 3, 1954 – July 2, 2019
Marc Duval DeBlois,65, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away peacefully in the night on July 2 2019.
Mr. DeBlois slipped away in the early morning at the side of his beloved Tina Deblois (Davis/Fenton). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 6th, at the Effingham V.F.W from 2 to 5.
Marc was born at St. Anthony Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida (Penellas County) on December 3, 1954. Imediately after high school, Marc Joined the United States Navy where he received several Medals including a purple heart for his service during the Vietnam War as a Navy corpsman.
After his service to country, Marc chose to further his education in medicine and was soon working as a Physicians Assistant for a succesfull eurologist in Clear Water Beach, Florida.
After several years in the field of medicine, he decided it was time for a change and he purchased a club in Illinois, which he also found success in. Marc also had a career as a Regional Director for Bobber Travel Centers. Eventually due to Marcs love of America and travel, he got a job as a long haul truck driver, something he loved deeply and continued to do untill he was forced into retiremeant resulting from a head injury.
The best years of Marc's life were spent with the love of his life Tina Fenton and her children Katrina, Corey and Zaine. Marc loved to have a good time and enjoyed everything music. He collected vinyl records his entire life and had a collection that any collector would envy. Speaking of music, Marc was finally taught to play guitar by Corey after 55 years! Another interest among many was a love of muscle cars, something he shared with Zaine. Finally we have Katrina who gave him an opportunity to be Papa Marc to her daughter Kirista.
Marcs presence will be, and is already missed, but memories never leave. Marc loved a good time and that was amplified if those around was also having a good time. He taught us that the bad times are only small chapters in big books and that life is precious and should always be loved and cherished.
