Luella B. Runde, 90, passed away at 5:33 a.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her home in Teutopolis.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the church with a 4:00 p.m. C.C.W. rosary and a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities or Meals on Wheels. Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Luella was born December 10, 1923 in rural Dieterich, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Niemerg) Worman. She married Herman F. Runde on September 8, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2012. Luella was a retired school teacher, having taught many years at Lillyville School. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, a member and past president of St. Francis Council of Catholic Women, Secular Order of Franciscans and the St. Francis Singers.

Luella is survived by her three sons, Richard A. (Deb) and Dr. Charles W. (Vera), both of Teutopolis and Larry (Sue) of Wildwood, MO.; daughter, Barb Runde of Teutopolis; two brothers, Leroy (Olive) Worman of Lady Lake, FL and Ralph (Paula) Worman of Robinson; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; infant son, Kenneth; three brothers, Albin, Ambrose and Roger Worman; sister, Magdalen Pruemer.
