Luella K. Lilley, 87, of Effingham, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her home in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Effingham, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. www.bauerfh.com
Luella was born January 17, 1925 in Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of Aloysius and Frances (Jurgens) Bueker. She married Melvin F. Lilley on May 8, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1986.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham and the local Nine Patch Quilt Club. Luella first worked at Fedders Corporation and later worked in the bindery at World Color Press for over 20 years.
She is survived by 3 sons: Garl (wife Mary Lou), Gregory, and Douglas, all of Effingham; 6 daughters: Joyce Deters and Jane Lilley of Effingham, Mary Ann Wines, Gail James and Betty Lilley of Watson, and Patricia (husband Jerod) Miller of Effingham; Also surviving are 5 sisters: Helen (husband Leonard) McKinney of Columbia City, Indiana, Margaret (husband Paul) Willenborg of Neoga, Norma Otterson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Clara (husband Curtis) Stewart of Helotes, Texas and Joann Jamison of Teutopolis; a brother: George "Jake" Bueker of Toledo; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
