Louise was born on June 18, 1929 in Bishop Creek (rural Dieterich), the daughter of Aloysius and Josephine (Dust) Repking. She married James R. "Jim" Deters on April 25, 1953.

Louise was a homemaker and a dairy farm wife. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and the St. Michael Council of Catholic Women. Louise had also been a 4-H leader for many years and served on the Teutopolis Unit 50 advisory board. Besides her own beloved family, Louise was a mom and grandma to many others. Her legacy will be the delicious sugar cookies, angel food cakes and other sweet treats she baked, as well as her gorgeous quilts she lovingly stitched and assembled by hand. Each Christmas she carefully chose the perfect gift for each of her children, grandchildren, their spouses and her great-grandchildren too. She will be remembered for her hand sewn baby clothes, her wonderful cooking and canned goods and most of all for her patient gentle spirit. Louise will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
