Lorraine C. Althoff's Obituary
Lorraine C. Althoff, 81 of Effingham, passed away Sunday morning, November 12, 2017 at Willowbrook Memory Care of Effingham.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham, with visitation being held from 9:30 a.m. to time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School or to the donor's choice.
Lorraine was born October 3, 1936 in Teutopolis, to Frank and Gertrude (Hartke) Pruemer. She married Thomas G. Althoff on November 5, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2015.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, Timothy (Linda) and Todd (Mary), both of Effingham; grandchildren, Luke (Lindsey), Josh (Julie), Cody (Marissa), Mitch (Sara), and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Connor, Dane, Grant, Eileen and Mackenzie; brother, Larry Pruemer of Teutopolis; sisters, Dorothy Schumacher of Sigel, Ruth Hoene of Effingham, Norma Jean (Lawrence) Apke of Teutopolis, Mary Ellen (Bud) Kremer of Teutopolis; sister-in-law, Alice Pruemer of Teutopolis.
Lorraine was proceeded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joe and Bernie Pruemer; brothers-in-law, John Hoene, Harry Schumacher and Charles Jr. (Alyene) Althoff; sisters-in-law, Patty Pruemer, Rosella Pruemer; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Emma Althoff.
