Lora Mae Jones' Obituary
Lora Mae Jones, 88 of Effingham, passed away at 8:20 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with visiting hours beginning one hour prior to service. Burial will take place in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson. www.bauerfh.com
Lora Mae was born April 16, 1924 in Mode, the daughter of Henry F. and Cordila (Monteray) Kessler. She married Aubrey Jones on February 21, 1943. Lora Mae was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stewardson.
Lora Mae is survived by two sons, Jerry (Merna) of Stewardson and Ron (Paula) of Strasburg; two daughters, Joyce (Bill) Downing of Rogers, Arkansas and Jackie (Michael) Walker of Effingham; twelve grandchildren, Robert Cordts of Colorado Springs, CO, Dawn (Mark) Burrell of Rogers, AR, Rachael (Mike) Forest of Pea Ridge, AR, Matt (Nikki) Jones of Effingham, Chris (Katie) Jones of Stewardson, Abby (Alex) Fischer of Herrin, Elizabeth (Ken) Fitzgerald of Effingham, Nikki (Chris) Daniels of Strasburg, Jacob (Aiko) Reed of Stoughton, MA, Joshua Reed of Fall River, KS, Brady Walker of Mattoon and Jordon Jones of Strasburg; twenty great-grandchildren also survive.
Lora Mae was preceded in death by her parents; two infant brothers and brother, Melvin Kessler; four sisters, Dorothy (Roley) Campbell, Marie Buckley, Thelma Turrentine and Viola Miner.
