Lois A. (Gaddey) Goen, 87 of Effingham, passed away at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2014 at Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Private family services were held today, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with entombment in Arborcrest Memorial Park. www.bauerfh.com

Lois was born August 14, 1926 in rural Dieterich, the daughter of Everett and Gatha (Reese) Pagel. She married Abe Gaddey and he preceded her in death in 1989. She then married Howard Goen and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Lois is survived by her son, David W. (Cindy) Gaddey of Effingham; two daughters, Sandra (Rodney) Hartke of Robinson and Lila (Patrick) McWhorter of Effingham; three brothers, Gene Pagel and Kenneth Pagel, both of Champaign and Everett Pagel of Blairsville, GA; two sisters, Dorothy Cole of Mechanicsburg and Wanda West of Blairsville, GA; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, Jerry Pagel and Delbert Pagel; sisters, Shirley Davis and Barbara Ward.
