Linus G. Koester, 60, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at his home in Shumway.

Linus was born August 5, 1955 in Effingham, the son of Ernest and Rose (Hoene) Koester. He had lived in the Effingham area his entire life and was employed at World Color Press for over thirty years. Linus was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast.

He is survived by his children, Ryan Koester, Neil Koester, Jody (Brian) Schulz and Ross Koester and was known as "Papa Fish" by his grandson, Lucas Koester. Linus was preceded in death by his parents.
