Linda L. Taormina's Obituary
Linda L. Taormina, 74 of Effingham, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to time of services, Saturday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Linda was born February 23, 1940 in New Bern, NC, the daughter of Walter and Doris (Davenport) Vinson. She married Harry "Bob" Taormina on February 11, 1962 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Linda was a member of the Effingham Christian Outreach Center.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Bob (Lori) of Buford, GA and Dan (Shiela) Adams of Villa Rica, GA; three daughters, Debbie Ashton of Dacula, GA, Sandy (Dan) Feldhake of Edgewood and Teri (John) Buening of Effingham; two step-daughters, Annamarie (John) Mandocina and Christine Taormina, both of Kansas City, MO; brother, Donald W. Smith of Dacula, GA; special friend, Sid Reeves; 13 grandchildren, Michael (Amy), Shannon (Phil), Lindsay, Kristin (Charlie), Adam, Brena, Joel (Sabrina), Charity (Matt), Robert (Tye), Kimberly, Jessica (Jason), Danielle and Taylor; 17 great-grandchildren, Emma, Timothy, Sidney, Rebecca, Ethyn, Taylor, Hayden, Miles, Aislin, Sophia, Olivia, Cole, Molli, Ambriella, Storrie, Colton and Jacelyn.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister-in-law, Helen Smith.
