Linda M. Hardiek, 52 of Effingham, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Linda was born February 14, 1965 in Louisa, Virginia, the daughter of Edward G. and Nellie Jean (Poyner) Meadows. She served with the Farmville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Team in Virginia. Linda married Steven Hardiek on February 21, 2001 and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Steven W. "T.J." (Ashlie) Thompson of Cumberland, Virginia and step-daughter, Andrea J. Hardiek of LeBlanc, LA; 4 grandchildren, Mark Walker, Gauge Thompson, Riley Thompson and Christopher Francois.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jessica Nicole; brother, Willis G. Meadows; step-son, Christopher Hardiek.
