Leonard J. Worman, 80 of Dieterich, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Willowbrook Memory Care in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bishop Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Lenny was born April 30, 1943 in Decatur, the son of Aloysius "Allie" and Edna (Nosbisch) Worman. He married Loretta J. Price on June 19, 1987. Lenny spent a lifetime farming and roaming the countryside checking on the crops. He was very proud of his grandkids' accomplishments in sports, cheer, and dance. He was one of the first in the stands, who loved to watch his favorite ball players and his special little cheerleader. Lenny will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta of Dieterich; daughter, Alicia (Larry) Schwerdt of Teutopolis; grandchildren, Trenton, Tyler, and Tinley; brother, Richard (Cassie) Worman of Dieterich; and sisters, Mary Behl and Barb Smith, both of Effingham.

Lenny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Adolph; and brother-in-law, Dick Behl.
