Leland L. Schuetz, 91 of Effingham, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Private family services will be held with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to the donor's choice.

Leland was born June 11, 1929 in Randolph County, the son of Louis Martin and Myrtle (Wente) Schuetz. He married Grace L. Link on August 4, 1948 and she preceded him in death in 2015. Leland began his career in Sparta, Illinois with World Color Press in 1954. In January of 1970, he and his family moved to Effingham where he continued his work with World Color Press until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham.

Leland is survived by his son, Dennis of Palacios, Texas; two daughters, JoAnn (Paul) McDaniels and Bonnie (Steve) Kruse, both of Effingham; four grandsons, Lee Schuetz, Steven Kruse, Aaron McDaniels and Jonathan Kruse; six great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Liam, Layton and Elliott Kruse and Jase and Luke Schuetz.

Leland was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter-in-law, Lydia and granddaughter, Ann.
