LeAnn B. Niemerg, 53, passed away Wednesday morning, January 6, 2016 at her home in Dieterich with her family by her side.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bishop Creek, with burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Dieterich. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church with a 6:00 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Cemetery or to the donor's choice.
LeAnn was born September 15, 1962 in Effingham, the daughter of Walter and Loretta (Ruholl) Koester. She married Gerald L. "Jerry" Niemerg on April 9, 1983 and he survives. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish and enjoyed spending time helping on the farm with her husband of 32 years. LeAnn loved rocking her grandkids and going on walks to watch the sunrise. She spent the past 18 years cheering on her kids at their sporting events and loved every minute of it. LeAnn was kind-hearted and would do anything to lend a helping hand. She especially enjoyed sharing laughs and good times with her family and friends.
LeAnn is survived by her husband, Jerry of Dieterich; three sons, Mitch (Christine), Tyler (Lauren) and Lance, all of Dieterich; three daughters, Jenny (Chad) Higgins of Staunton, Mindy (Derek) Worman of Dieterich and Brittney of Dieterich; mother, Loretta Koester of Sigel; three brothers, Dean (Mary) Koester of Effingham, Gary (Amy) Koester of Sigel and David (Jenny) Koester of Effingham; sister, Janice (Richard) Dust of Sigel; four grandchildren, Brody and Dawson Niemerg, Payton Higgins and Jaxon Worman; mother-in-law, Phyllis Niemerg of Dieterich.
LeAnn was preceded in death by her father; brother, Rick and father-in-law, Ralph Niemerg.
