Lawrence L. "Larry" Walk, 71 of Teutopolis, passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 10, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with Father Robert Spriggs officiating. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the church. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Cancer Center, St. Anthony Memorial Hospice Care or to the donor's choice. Larry was born June 13, 1942 in Effingham, the son of Lloyd and Rosanna (Wessel) Walk. He married Sheryl L. Yates on April 27, 1968 and she survives. Larry was a lifelong owner and mechanic of Walk's Auto Service. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874, BMW Motorcycle Owners of America and a former member of Harley Owners Group of Effingham. Larry also served with the United States National Guard.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sheryl of Teutopolis; son, Douglas (Denise) of Teutopolis; two daughters, Jill (Kurt) Maleske of Chicago and Lyndsey Walk of Effingham; four brothers, Mike (Barb) of Sigel, John (Deanna) of Windsor, Fred (Fran) of Towanda and Ed (Susan) of Neoga; two sisters, Connie (Dan) Clark of Bloomington, IN and Alice (Jim) Niebrugge of Teutopolis; 9 grandchildren, Erica, Ryan, Jessica, Emily, Morgan, Hannah, Wilson, Kegan and Catelyn.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeffrey.
