Larry Dale Budde, 63, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at his home in Teutopolis surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorial donations may be given to CASA of Effingham County.

Larry was born October 3, 1957 in Effingham, the son of Loran and Beverly A. (McManaway) Budde. He married Karen Buening on February 14, 1992. Larry worked at Effingham Equity as a facility maintenance technician. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family; he enjoyed his grandchildren to the fullest. He also loved cooking, camping and spending time with his funny farm friends.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen of Teutopolis; daughters, Valerie (Dave) Pike of Teutopolis and Vanessa Sanders of Watson; step-daughter, Stacey (Jason) Ruholl of Teutopolis and Jackie (Jon) Weaving of O'Fallon; step-son, Joshua (Raechel) Niemeyer of St. Elmo; parents, Loran and Beverly Budde of Olney; brother, Brent (Della) Budde of Olney; sister, Linda (Kent) Karcher of Sumner; 13 grandchildren.
