Larena Genelle Tucker's Obituary
Larena Genelle Tucker, 85 of Watson, passed away at 3:20 a.m., Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to service time, Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. www.bauerfh.com
Larena was born August 4, 1928 in Douglas County, the daughter of Otto and "Lottie" (Smith) Willis. She first married Lowell Hillyer and later married Eugene Clinton Tucker and he preceded her in death. Larena was a housekeeper for St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Larena is survived by her son, Leon E. Hillyer of Watson; two brothers, Aden Willis of Anderson, IN and Herman Willis of Effingham; four sisters, Rosalie (Leroy) Burgess of Edgewood, Velma Daniels of Eldorado, Marzella Petersen of Hord and Phyllis (Larry) Danks of Altamont.
Larena was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene and brother, Richard Willis.
