Kyle D. Pettyjohn, 60, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his home in Sigel.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm(noon) on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Sigel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Neurosurgical Department.

Kyle was born July 10, 1964 in Tampa, Florida, the son of Lyle and Daisy (Rhoades) Pettyjohn. He married Mary Lu Laub on December 15, 1999. Kyle enjoyed gardening and music, especially Rock & Roll. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox fan.

Kyle is survived by his wife, Mary Lu Pettyjohn of Sigel; mother, Daisy Pettyjohn of Effingham; twin brother, Lyle (Robin) Pettyjohn of Hammond; sister, Sue Moffett of Cowden, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father and sister, Dianne Jones.
