Kitty Jo (Wyckoff) Herrmann, 62 of Shumway gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, August 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Shumway United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham and from 10:00 a.m. to time of service, Wednesday morning at the church.  Memorial donations may be given to the donor's choice.

Kitty Jo was born on September 5, 1958 in Gary Indiana, the daughter of Gerald and Doris Wyckoff.  Kitty graduated from Beecher City Jr. Sr. High School in 1976.   She married Jerry Herrmann in 1979.  Kitty Jo was a hostess at Effingham Cracker Barrel for over 30 years.  Kitty was a life-long member of the Shumway United Methodist Church.   Her greatest joy and accomplishments were raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. Kitty loved helping others.

She is survived by her husband of over 41 years, Jerry Herrmann of Shumway; children Jodi (Jeff) Tirevold, Jacob (Michelle) Herrmann, Jason (Kelsey) Herrmann and Julie (Robert) Hicks. Grandchildren Emersyn and Lavina Hicks; Albert, George and Simon Herrmann and Lily Tirevold; her parents Gerald and Doris Wyckoff and her siblings Steve (Kathy) Wyckoff and Cindy (Dave) Julius.
