Kenneth J. Tegeler, 70 of Dieterich, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Kenny was born August 11, 1953 in Effingham, the son of Joseph and Louise (Hoffman) Tegeler. He married Janet Koester on July 24, 1976 and she preceded him in death on February 4, 2016.

Kenny is survived by his son, Cory (Courtney); daughter, Jody (Eric) Wendt; grandchildren, Peyton, Cooper, and Brevin Tegeler, and Paisley Wendt; brothers, Tom (Lana), Vernon (Elaine), Rich (Marianne), Don, Dave (Diane), Charlie (Paula), and Steve (Lisa); sisters, Pat (Steve) Austin, Sharon (Tom) Tebbe, and Judy (Rex) Williams; sister-in-law, Judy (Paul) Lohman; brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Bloemer (special friend, Carol Campbell); as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parent; wife; brother, John; father and mother-in-law, Ambrose and Eleanor Koester; brother-in-law Ronnie Koester; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Bloemer, Nancy Koester, and Linda Koester.
