Kendra L. "KooKoo" Deters was born on Sept. 20, 1969 in San Jose, Ca. and adopted by Henry Kenneth "Kenny" Duckwitz and Glenda Merrill.

She was raised by Kenny Duckwitz and Connie Crum (Ervin) at Sportsman Lake in rural St. Elmo. She passed Nov. 15, 2022.

Kendra loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She cherished every moment spent with family and friends.

Kendra is survived by her husband, Mike Deters; children Derek Davis (Tracie), Heaven Smith, Troy Waltman (Michaela), and Logan Waltman; 9 grandchildren; her mom, Connie Ervin; sisters Penny Lewis (Todd), Barb Barton (Matt), brother Marty Romans, and mother-in-law Joyce Deters.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Kenny Duckwitz, adopted mom, Glenda Merrill, granddaughter Addison Scott and father-in-law Dave Deters.
