Kathryn L. Hartke's Obituary
Kathryn L. Hartke, 68 of Teutopolis, passed away at 3:18 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. There will be a wake service and rosary held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation immediately following, until 7:00 p.m., at the church in Teutopolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ARC Community Support Systems. www.bauerfh.com.
Kathryn was born August 3, 1944 in Effingham, the daughter of Henry and Pauline (Niebrugge) Hoene. She married Charles A. "Chuck" Hartke on August 10, 1963 and he survives. Kathryn was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the St. Francis Council of Catholic Women. She was a former ARC Foundation board member, serving for eleven years.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Chuck of Teutopolis; son, Christopher (Beth) of Teutopolis; daughter, Kimberly (Patrick) Deters of Teutopolis; six grandchildren, Ryan and Jaelen Deters, Rachael, Madeline, Anna and Jack Hartke; mother, Pauline Hoene of Effingham; brother, Henry P. (Lois) Hoene of Effingham; two sisters, Dolores (Charlie) Kroeger of Teutopolis and Bernice Dasenbrock of Effingham.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, Henry.
