Karen S. Miller, 77 of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to the time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to Sacred Heart School.

Karen was born January 21, 1945 in Sullivan, Indiana, the daughter of Ernest E. And Ruth (Gadberry) Corbin. She married Richard J. "Dick" Miller on November 12, 1966 and he preceded her in death in 2007.

Karen is survived by her son, Jim (Jamie) Miller of Teutopolis; daughter, Kristin Miller of Barre, Vermont; grandchildren, Ethan Miller (special friend, Mady) and Gabby Miller; sister, Sandy (Alan) Pierce of Sullivan, IN; special cousin, Janice Jones of Effingham; brothers-in-law, John (Jean) Miller of Pewaukee, WI, David (Ivy) Miller of Wabash, IN and Dean Miller of Cookeville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dick.
