Junior Bannick's Obituary
Gaylord D. "Junior" Bannick, 62, of Effingham died at 4:17 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at his home.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Bannick was born Sept. 25, 1948, in Effingham, the son of Gaylord J. and Viola E. (Willenborg) Bannick.
He worked for J.B. Esker Construction for 43 years. He served with the U.S. National Guard from 1966 to 1972. He was a member of Effingham American Legion Post 120 and Effingham Elks Club 1016.
Survivors include his sons, Shawn (Laura) and Shane, all of Effingham; daughter, Shannon (Travis) Heuerman of Dieterich; mother, Viola E. Bannick of Dieterich; brother, Terry (April) of Dieterich; sister, Phyllis (Jack) Hille of Dieterich; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
