Judith E. "Judy" Nosbisch, 77 of Effingham, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 17, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorial donations may be given to St. Anthony Schools.

Judy was born June 21, 1946 in Vandalia, the daughter of Lowell and Esther (Tonn) Webster. She married Stephen "Steve" Gebben on December 23, 1967 and he preceded her in death in 1977. Judy later married Donald J. "Duck" Nosbisch on June 2, 1979 and he preceded her in death in 2010.

Judy had many titles, but she was best described as daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, aunt, friend, and caregiver to many.  She enjoyed working outside and in her yard, going on shopping trips, and vacations. Judy was always up for a good time, often wearing a costume or party hat.

Family meant everything to Judy. She leaves behind her daughter, Michelle (Chris) Tingley of Effingham; sisters, Pat (Donald) Tate of Effingham and Marsha (Carrel) Starkey of Campbell Hill; special friend, Mike Sur, who has been by her side for nearly a decade; grandchildren, Davis, Emma, and Curtis, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she all loved dearly and was very proud of.
