Joseph Francis Huber

Joseph Francis “Joe” Huber, Jr., 86, of Teutopolis passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Joe was born on August 24, 1940, the son of Joseph Huber, Sr. and Nellie (Mayhaus) Huber in Effingham. He married Mary Ann Ruholl on August 4, 1962. Joe was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus for many years. He loved going around to flea markets and car shows and seeing what treasures he might find.

Joe is survived by his son, David Huber of Teutopolis; daughter, Cheryl Huber of Effingham; grandchildren, Rodney Huber and Nicole Huber; as well as his siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mary Ann Huber.
