Joseph J Hackman's Obituary
Joseph J. "Joe" Hackman, 69, of Shumway, died at 1:48 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. until time of service, Wednesday evening. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. www.bauerfh.com
Joe was born May 31, 1942 in Effingham Co., the son Roy and Gertrude (Ludwig) Hackman. He married Carolyn R. Kaufman on July 1, 1967.
He was a member of the Effingham Moose Lodge and the Mattoon Eagles Aerie #3438. Joe also served for two years in the United States Army.
Joe is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Randy (friend, Vicki) of Mason; daughter, Julie (Jim) Klein of Dieterich; sister, Mary Kallaus of Mesquite, TX; two brothers, Paul (Delores) of Trilla and Jim (Joann) of Shumway; four grandchildren, Bruce and Brock Hackman, Brandon and Breanna Klein; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Maryssa Hackman .
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; two sisters, Rosemary Stephens and Delores Arthur; one brother, Clarence.
