Jewelle A. Burke, 72 of Effingham, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a short service to follow .

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Jewelle was born February 3, 1948, the daughter of Kenneth R. and Audrey V. (Lee) Burke.

Jewelle will be greatly missed by her family including her sons, Steve (Korrinne) Burke and Donnie (Stasi) Burke, both of Joliet; brothers, Jeff Burke, Sr. of Sioux Falls, SD and George Dewy Burke of Effingham; sisters, Jennifer (Rich) Pepperdine and Brenda (Ed) Tinker, both of Effingham; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jewelle was preceded in death by her parents; Robert Finley; brothers, Kenneth Jr., Randy and Barry Burke; best friend, Mary Ellen Jackinowski.
