Jerry L. Seckman, 58 of Effingham, passed away at 3:24 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network. www.bauerfh.com
Jerry was born on June 16, 1954 in San Francisco, California, the son of Garold "Jerry" and Betty (Lantz) Seckman. He married Denise L. Hubert on September 22, 1984 and she survives. Jerry was employed by WalMart in Effingham for five years as an unloader in the receiving department.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Denise of Effingham; son, Jeremy (fiancé, Liz Malm) of Sacramento, CA; two daughters, Jennifer Lowenthal (fiancé, Nick Gilstrap) of Sacremanto, CA and Stephanie Seckman of Mattoon; mother, Betty R. Seckman of Effingham also survives.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father and sister, Regina.
