Jeremy W. Cox, 44 of Effingham, passed away Friday morning, June 8, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with visitation being held for one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be given to the wishes of his family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.bauerfh.com .

Jeremy was born April 10, 1974 in Effingham, the son of Steven Cox and Deborah (Dempsey) Esker. He is survived by his brothers, Joe Esker of Effingham and David Cox of Ashley; sisters, Desiree Bolgiano of Beardstown, Dannette Gonzalez of Sandoval and Deanna Smith of Browning; Aunts and Uncles, Steve Dempsey of Effingham, Eydie (Tim) Carruthers of Watson, Cindy (Tony) Deters of Sigel, Sheila (Joe) Hardiek of Dieterich, Diana (Bob) Michaels, Bill Cox and David Cox, all of Mattoon; eight nephews, six nieces and several cousins also survive.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Michelle Reeves; grandparents, Mary Cox, Wayne Cox and Doris Dempsey.
