Jeanette was born June 21, 1935 in Effingham, the daughter of Bernard and Florence (Brummer) Pruemer. She married Clarence W. Unkraut on September 13, 1958 and he survives. Jeanette was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham and St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women.
Jeanette loved spending time with her 16 grandchildren and attended almost every activity that they were involved in. She loved not only her grandchildren, but any child, as hundreds of 4-Hers could attest to during her 27 years as a 4-H leader. One of her other passions was spending time with her husband, preparing and selling vegetables at the Farmer's Market in Effingham. Jeanette was always ready for a good party and everybody she ever met will always remember her infectious smile. She will be sadly missed by all; but the angels in Heaven have surely met a new friend.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Clarence of Effingham; two sons, Dave (Darlene) and Matt (Beth), both of Effingham; three daughters, Peggy (Curt) Valenti of Effingham, Jane (Randy) Ruholl and Jill (Maurus) Schumacher, both of Teutopolis; brothers, Tom (Diane) Pruemer of Vienna and Eric (Carolyn) Pruemer of Cape Girardeau, MO; sister, Pat (Mark) Hartmann of Arlington Heights; sister-in-law, Marilyn Pruemer of Effingham;16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
