Jeane Kinkelaar, 82 of Effingham, passed away at 11:55 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony Schools. www.bauerfh.com
Jeane was born October 6, 1930 in Effingham, the youngest of twelve children to George and Elizabeth (Dust) Grunloh. She married Leonard J. Kinkelaar on October 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2009.
Jeane was a past president of St. Ann's Altar Society, a member of the Effingham Toastmistress Club, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the St. Anthony's Council of Catholic Women. She taught RCIA classes at St. Anthony Grade School and was a librarian at St. Anthony High School where she enjoyed working on the SAHS Sports Scrapbook. Jeane worked for Effingham County Printing Company for 14 years and then was employed at Effingham-Clay Farm Service for 22 years. She was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan and regularly attended the annual Cubs convention, as well as a Chicago Bears fan.
Jeane is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Rentfrow of Effingham and Connie (Brad) Brannon of Vandalia; one son, Dale (special friend, Tammy Moran) of Clarksburg, WV; grandchildren, Chanel (Joe) Chavez of Littleton, CO, Ginger (Thomas) Rode of Littleton, CO, Brock (Jenny) Brannon of Vandalia, Blaine Brannon of McHenry, Marissa Kinkelaar of Bridgeport, WV, Megan Kinkelaar and Mary Kinkelaar, both of Morgantown, WV; six great-grandchildren, Adina and Sari Chavez, Maris Rode, Wade, Cole and Beau Brannon; two step-grandchildren, Shaina and Josh Chavez; two step great-grandchildren, Boston and Bruce Chavez; two brothers, Harold and Clifford Grunloh, both of Effingham; brothers-in-law, Wilbert (Pat) Kinkelaar, Paul (Judy) Kinkelaar, Jean (Janice) Kinkelaar, Daniel (Eileen) Kinkelaar and Gene Runde; sisters-in-law, Bernice Grunloh, Marie Grunloh, Lucille Grunloh, Dorothy Grunloh and Betty Brown; many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; son, Philip Kinkelaar; granddaughter, Coty Brannon; sisters, Louise Schoening, Olive Fulle, Lucille Thoele and Hilda Kink Nolan; brothers, Richard, Louis, Joe, Jerry and Don Grunloh; brothers-in-law, Delbert Schoening, Virgil Fuelle, Frank Thoele, Frank Kink, Bob Nolan, James Kinkelaar and Ron Brown; sisters-in-law, Agnes Grunloh, Eileen Brunloh, Marian Grunloh and Lenora Runde; several nieces and nephews.
