Janice Blankenship's Obituary
Janice C. Blankenship, 75 of Effingham, passed away at 5:07 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 at H.S.H.S St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to time of service, Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
Janice was born March 29, 1941 in Vandalia, the daughter of Floyd and Hazel (Arney) Williams. She married John E. Blankenship Jr. on September 6, 1981 and he preceded her in death in 2015. Janice was a retired licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Heather) Bell of Greenville; daughter, Tonya Bell of Nashville, TN; step-son, David (Stephanie) Blankenship of Dallas, TX; step-daughter, Renee (Wade) Godwin of Rowlett, TX; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Hames; brother-in-law, Herbert Blankenship and sister-in-law, Sharon Reeder.
