Janet M. Tegeler, 60 of Dieterich, passed away Thursday evening, February 4, 2016 at H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Janet's body was cremated according to her wishes. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. http://www.lung.org
Janet was born December 14, 1955 in Effingham, the daughter of Ambrose and Eleanor (Ruholl) Koester. She married Kenneth J. Tegeler on July 24, 1976. Janet was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Sigel.
Janet is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Dieterich; son, Cory (Courtney) of Teutopolis and daughter, Jody (Eric) Wendt of Neoga; two sisters, Mary Margaret (Robert) Bloemer of Effingham and Judy (Paul) Lohman of Teutopolis; four grandchildren, Peyton, Cooper and Brevin Tegeler and Paisley Wendt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Koester and sister, Nancy Koester.
