Janet M. Stein, 65 of Effingham, was called to heaven on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Private family services will be held at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or to the donor's choice.

Janet was born May 3, 1955 in Effingham, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Will) Koester. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Oltman for 25 years.

Janet will be greatly missed by her husband of 47 years, Larry; son, Philip; brothers, Don (Joan), Charles A. (Linda), Dennis (Irene), all of Effingham and James (Lucy) of Teutopolis; sisters-in-law, Beverly Koester of Effingham and Kay Koester of Watson; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Gene and Tom.
