Jane T. Lauritsen, 61 of Effingham, passed away Monday morning, February 8, 2016 at H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at First Christian Church, 901 North Henrietta Street in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, Friday morning at the church. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Jane was born March 1, 1954 in Effingham, the daughter of Lawrence and Eileen (Roepke) Meyer. She married Gene Lauritsen on September 6, 1980 and he preceded her in death in March of 1997.

She is survived by her three brothers, Charlie (Janice) Meyer of Teutopolis, Paul (Mary Ann) Meyer of Effingham and Roy (LeAnn) Meyer of Tuscola; four sisters, Marian (Dan) Wilson, Barb (Ron) Zerrusen, Brenda (Gil) Smith and Sandy (Alan) Bloemer, all of Effingham.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; special friend, Jack and sister, Diane Meyer.
