Jane E. Habing, 71, of Effingham, passed away at 1:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Jane was born April 10, 1940 in Effingham, one of seven siblings to Mildred Webb Poe. She married John J. Habing on November 24, 1956 in Effingham. She was a member of the Effingham V.F.W. Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo.

In her passing she leaves behind her husband, John; three children, Deborah (Charles) Meyers, John Jr. (Crystal), Jeffery (Jackie) all of Effingham; three brothers, Dan (Pat) Poe, Bob (Caroley) Poe, Allan (Sandy) Poe; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.

Jane is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred; one sister, Alice Levitt; two brothers, Jim and Tom Poe; granddaughter Jennifer Meyers.
