James D. Tarin, Jr., 34 of Effingham, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017.
Private family services will be held at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.
James was born August 12, 1983 in Fairfield, the son of James D. Sr. and Lydia (Hayes) Tarin. He married Denice M. Hannah on October 9, 2015. James served with the United States Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received many awards, such as the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism War Medal, Global Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, as well as Combat Infantryman and Parachutist badges. James was honorably discharged in 2004.
James is survived by his wife, Denice; sons, Jacob, Seth, Cayden and Keegan; step-sons, Brayden and Kellen; daughters, Kinley and Breonna; mother, Lydia Spence; brother, Charles (Tarah) Tarin; sister, Brandy (Gaylyn) Johnson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
James was preceded in death by his father, Jim; grandmothers, Stella Tarin and Nedra Hayes and grandfather, Ray Hayes.
