James H. "Jim" Stodden, 82 of Effingham, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to time of service, Thursday morning at the funeral home.

Jim was born July 8, 1936 in Charter Oak, IA, the son of Albert J. and Amanda (Sievers) Stodden. He married Connie Joan Steele on May 31, 1958 and she preceded him in death in 2014.

Jim is survived by his sons, Rick (Jacque) of Stewardson, Keith (Leesa) of Knoxville and Ron (Diane) of Effingham; daughters, Aileen (Greg) Bonham of Decatur and Gina (Greg) Pullam of Mason; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Hayley Stodden and great-grandson, Dallas Niles.
