Ivan E. Sparling, Jr., 74, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his home in Neoga.
Private family services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Cochrane Grove Cemetery, near Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Ivan was born April 10, 1941 in Dieterich, the son of Ivan E. Sr. and Lorene (Deters) Sparling.
He is survived by his two sons, John and Michael; three daughters, Brenda, Lori and Sue; four brothers, Francis, Daniel, Thomas and Jerome "Mike"; four sisters, Dorothy "Dotty" Peacock, Kathleen Brown, Mae Courtright and Mary Thull; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; son, Clifford, brother, John; two sisters, Vera and Linda Ballinger; one grandson.
