Ida F. Hille, 82, of Effingham, died early Saturday morning, October 29, 2011 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with a 7:00 p.m. parish rosary. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Hille was born April 14, 1929 in Sigel, the daughter of Ben and Anna (Will) Hoene. She married Louis A. Hille, the love of her life, on September 16, 1950 in Sigel and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a homemaker for most of her life. Ida enjoyed cooking, quilting and playing cards, but mostly enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends. She also enjoyed volunteering in the community through Senior Center activities. Ida was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham and the St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary Jane Hille and Debbie (Carl) Ballinger of Effingham; brother, Richard "Dick" Hoene of Teutopolis; sister-in-law, Frances Hoene in Sigel and three grandsons, Nick (Jodi) Roedl of Collinsville, Mike (Julie) Roedl of Effingham and Matt (Katie) Roedl of Dieterich. Ida was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Allyson and Logan, and another expected arrival in February.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Connie; two brothers, Clarence and Leonard; two sisters, Stella Donsbach and Mary Ordner.
